Better integration for novices in Onboarding Steps
Hello team and testers, I invited some friends to the testio platform, and only then could I realize how much the integration of newbies can be improved on the platform. I noticed many beginner testers with several questions that are answered in the academy, or even lost when writing a test report.
With this, I would like to suggest that the academy make the academy articles a mandatory step, with ticks of 'v' when they are read, being able to return to them, and continue where they left off, preventing users from being prevented from completing until they review all the articles, or the main articles of the academy, as well as the quizzes that must be answered to unlock more steps to reach the final test. Because in the quizzes only a few articles are recommended to understand that feature of the platform, but for a person without experience, only a few articles ends up being a shallow content for those who are starting from scratch.
In parallel to this, I would also like to suggest a test simulation so that users feel more integrated after the activities and articles read and can apply this knowledge in practice, making the learning process much more creative and complete ... Or as an alternative solution that can also be implemented together, activities with interactive examples with hints (before answering or after giving a correct or incorrect answer) that will help the user understand how it works in practice just as the test simulation would do.
Also for the tester's better learning, the platform should point out the Discord channel to evolve as a tester, to ask questions with other testers, which is of utmost importance for their evolution, and not just as a Discord channel with events and news! (I point this out because I discovered the Discord channel only two months into testio, and at the beginning it would have helped me a lot)
Any of the implemented solutions would bring the new user a complete learning experience and would avoid many doubts on the part of the user and even desistance to continue with the platform for having the impression of being a very difficult process. Now that the platform is expanding to several countries, a more complete preparatory course would help the platform grow immensely. Thanks for reading to the end!
