Increase Video Attachment Size Limit or Support .MOV Files for macOS Screen Recordings
On macOS, screen recordings are saved in .mov format by default. Even a short recording of around 9–10 seconds can easily reach or exceed 25 MB, which makes uploading video evidence difficult when the attachment size limit is lower.There are currently two possible ways to handle this:First suggestion — Increase the attachment size limit:Increasing the limit to around 50 MB would be the most helpful solution. macOS provides an encoding option that allows users to reduce the video quality and file size, but doing so may reduce the clarity of the evidence. A higher attachment limit would allow testers to upload short recordings directly without having to compromise the video quality.Second suggestion — Support .MOV files directly:If increasing the attachment size limit is not possible, allowing .mov files to be uploaded directly would also be very helpful. Currently, testers may need to convert the recording to .mp4 using a third-party website and reduce the file size to meet the upload limit. This requires leaving the platform, uploading the video, waiting for the conversion, downloading the converted file, and then returning to the report to attach it. This adds unnecessary time and effort to the reporting process.Either increasing the attachment limit to around 50 MB or supporting .mov files directly would make video evidence submission much smoother and more convenient for testers using macOS.
